Web design for small businesses
Every business deserves a front door online.
I build simple, welcoming websites for local business owners — no tech headaches, no confusing jargon. Just a place where customers can find you.
Free to look at. You only pay if you decide to switch the lights on.
What I build
Everything your site needs, nothing it doesn't.
Website design
A clean, mobile-friendly site built around what your customers actually need to know — hours, services, location, and how to reach you.
Hosting & care
I keep your site online, backed up, and secure — so you never have to think about servers or software updates.
Ongoing updates
New hours, a new photo, a seasonal menu — send me the change and I'll get it live, usually the same week.
How it works
Three steps, zero pressure.
We chat
A quick, casual conversation about your business — 15 minutes, no pitch deck.
I build a free preview
You see exactly what your site could look like before you spend a single dollar.
You go live — if you love it
Like what you see? We launch it. Not feeling it? No hard feelings, no charge.

A note on your domain name
Your domain (like yourbusiness.com) is registered in your name and billed directly to you by the registrar — typically $10–20/year. That means you always own it, no matter who's hosting your site. I'm happy to help you register it at no extra charge.
Recent work
A few examples of what I build.
These are sample sites built to show what's possible for different kinds of businesses — scroll the preview or open the full page.
Coreline Heating & Air
A dark, technical look built around a literal comfort dial — cooling and heating in one image.
Fieldstone Lawn Co.
Fresh mowing-stripe hero and a real seasonal breakdown instead of generic numbered steps.
Thistle & Rye Bakery
A warm plum-and-wheat palette with a daily bake schedule as the centerpiece.
Founder, Higher Sites
About
Hi, I'm Dakoda Mitchell.
I started Higher Sites because too many great local businesses were invisible online. I build straightforward, welcoming websites for owners who'd rather spend their time running their business than fighting with a website builder.
